#7275 - RE: Boe-Bot (robitic car) |
Hi,
There are 2 main steps when making hardware (the robot) work with another processor & language : first, you need to understand the I/O devices (motors, sensors, etc) & how they connect to the processor; then you need to decide how *you* want it to work with *your* program. Make it work on paper first (flowchart). This kind of robot is good fun to work on. I was a finalist in the first international robot car competition, in Paris in 1980, & I've also built several like the Boe-bot (even the same chassis, tho upside-down!) for studying collective behavior of simple (zero bytes RAM! no kidding!) devices. Does this help? Regards, Richard |
