#72970 - RE: ground is not ground Responding to: ???'s previous message |
My classic tale of grounding happened many moons ago in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
A unit fried now and then, but only in summer, and nobody could find the reason. In an idle week (yes, then such existed) I decided to go there and finally find out. Since identical units did not 'fry' regularily, it was evident that external causes must be the culprit. I started tracing supplies and found no cause. Then I traced the ground and found a wire going up. Investigating where it went, I ended up at THE LIGHTNING ARRESTOR! so, if ground is ground, nothing would have happened, right. Erik |
