Its getting to be IrDA time again.

If anyone else is boldly implementing this in 8051 and doesn't want to share code but only discuss the process, let me know. I'm getting interested in doing my own proprietary version in the near months.

Be forewarned; I don't share my commercial code. My 8051 realtime operating system is proprietary so my code wouldn't run on anyone else's system. But if you're struggling through the specification, it might help to share interpretations.

And if the chip distributors keep making my life difficult with long lead times, I may have plenty of time to code it. :)

And before someone posts it, IrDA would not make a good online project. I have no interest in looking at someone else's IrDA code or project URL either. Heck, writing our own code is what makes this job fun.
