#74175 - Pinnacle ? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Dear Arif,
I thought someone will mention it. Why not go for the Pinnacle assembler ? At 99USD it is really worth it. I am using it for the last 3 years now and would say I am quite happy with it. I think it is a 16 bit version ( my guess ) and has some limitations on the colour scheme with Win-XP. But that is not a great problem - it assembles, has provision to convert to BIN and also a simple simulator. Please rememeber the power of the code lies with the guy who codes it and if you are strong then the assembler is of little concern - atleast for small single programmer codes. Capability to assemble mutliple files, have version control etc is all fine - but have you reached the limits of your current assembler ? Yes my Keil assembler can offer lot more - but to start with the Pinnacle ( and any such would do). Just for your information my average assembly codes run to 2000+ lines and the maximum that I have to date done with Pinnacle is about 5000+ lines - and that is for complete test rig. The powerful tool is only 50%. Rest is you - the programmer. Raghu |
