#74291 - RE: Overriding a chunk of flash. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Yes, I'm sure. This is Nokia 5510, that is Nokia 3310 (a neat slim phone with a few nice features) loaded into an about twice as big box with an extra board with a lots of other more or less nice features - mp3 player, radio chip, qwerty keyboard driver, USB connectivity, and a few others are separate add-ons. After the bigger outline goes a bit of wasted space all around the 3310 phone outline which I could use for my purposes. (and even if I was -really- short on space, I could i.e. remove some unused parts (i.e. I almost never use the radio) making room for stuff I want.
I need to check yet though, if it's one chip 64M flash or they used several smaller chips (there was a plenty of room for that) - in this case replacing one of them (subquestion: How do I recognize the lowest-order in address space chip?) with similar chip. |
