More examples from the real life can be, your microwave oven, the VCR, the modern TVs, the smart cars utilizing high tech electronics and many many many more including whatever I build.... are all running from embeded systems because the controlling part (a small micro) is embeded within the whole system sort of a sub-set, and the user is unaware that its there.

But its there and its very much there. The system won't work if it wasn't there.

Jay's bike is very big example of embeded systems.
