#74840 - Off Topic - Web Browsers |
I was earlier using IE5.X
Was inundated with multitude of programs that kept asking to connect to the net. As a first line of defense, downloaded Adaware6 and got rid of those pesky spywares. But still whenever I was on the net I could see those two monitor images in the task bar glowing permanently even when I was just reading my mail or a web page. Someone in this forum ( Steve?) had once suggested to use Mozilla to get out of such nuisances. Well I did exactly that and two weeks later, I am a happy man - none of those pesky dialog boxes and more important the two monitors on my task bar are off mostly except when I load a new page. So much more comforting ! I just wanted to know if that ( the transaction monitor icon remaining off when there is no need for a transaction ) is really a healthy sign ? To me it looks to be so. ( Experiences as narrated above with AdAware and Mozilla are highly subjective and from my viewpoint only ) Raghu |
