I think you should write comments to explain what you expect the program to do. It will make it easier for those trying to help you and maybe you will find some errors yourself when you explain in the comment what you intend to do. It will also be much easier when you come back to the routine after a while and intend to use it again in some bigger program or as a start for some other program.
