hmm, I think I'd never learn the Intel .hex structure if I didn't have to port the programmer for ADuC812 to Linux myself :)
And that beautiful pointer-related bug that made it upload nothing (0 bytes program)... I'm still not quite sure WHAT was wrong with the code that caused it but I replaced that part with one that did the task the way I'd write it and it worked. ...and I still wonder why Analog Devices abandonned the idea of uploading raw Intel .hex file lines in favour of their own proprietary format, pretty similar to .hex but changed enough to make it incompatibile and writing a bootloader about twice as hard as it used to be. |
