I used MAX1086, 10 bit ADC, with 2 channels, 8 pin SOT23 package (a very small one) and fast conversion time, only 3.7 us. Requires external reference.
To get a higher accuracy (the question is - is it really neccessary), I make 4 conversions at a time, make sum of them and take it as a 12 bit average value ! The chip cooperates fine with AT89S53 (or S8252) which has built-in SPI, it was easy to couple them. Regards, Slobodan |
