#7726 - Optical mouse sensor |
Does anybody have a source for a sensor used in an optical mouse. It is probably a small matrix CCD.
I just got a Logitech optical mouse and it is pretty cool. I was fed-up with my mouse ball getting glogged and not working well. The optical mouse works real smooth. It works on a lot of different surfaces, but is erratic on glossy paper. The sensor on this mouse has a roughly 3/4mm diameter window on the bottom. Oddly, part of the LED lens goes to the top of the sensor where there are several small pin-sized holes. I have no clue what this is doing. Any comments are welcome. Thanks, <>< Lance. |
