I would like to add infrared function to my 8051 based device, and don't wanna use Irda standard, so what should i needed? And i wanna use PDA to control my 8051 based device via IR port, so is it possible to use non-irda standard protocol to communicate with 8051 based device. Any reference could i find in the Internet?
