Hello, as many had probably wondered what contained the AT89ISP cable ISP programmer for ATMEL devices i found links after searching for hours and hours in google (in those pages says it their cable works):

Use the schematics isp_C_v5.PDF, this is the at89isp cable with the following naming changes:

Mappings of the pins are as follow:

TCK --> SCK
TDO --> MISO
TMS --> RST
TDI --> MOSI

The LPT connections are on page 2 of the PDF file. You may want to use 68 Ohms instead of 100 Ohm resistors if you can't get it to work.

I wonder if anybody has implemented this before or seen this, i checked in the forum, but noone has done it. This may be the actual cable

For those who can read spanish or even if you don't know spanish, just follow the schematic the is a link from an university that uses a simplied version of the ISP cable that made the university and works with ATMEL AT89ISP

I have not tested both of the schematics, i'm only posting them if you try and make your own cable. I assume they work pretty well, if anybody is willing to be the volunteer to check them then be my guest and our savior

I have only very simple questions. When you buy an AT89ISP, can you use a crystal, say 11.0592 MHz for programming the uC, or the crystal must be in a range? does FLIP uses AT89ISP cable?
