Try 'XILINX STUDENT EDITION' isbn 0-13-671629-6. I got mine via Amazon. It comes with software that has to be licensed thru Xilinx. Covers both Xilinx CPLDs and FPGAs. Obviously targetted at students, you can skip the initial chapters on boolean logic etc and get to the more specific chapters. I used this as my start in FPGAs and I would recommend it.
