I have found that the CF cards from multiple vendors seem to pretty much function the same ways. There are differences in realizable speed, capacity, endurance, temperature range etc etc. However I have purchased at least 7 different brands and all work in my digital cameras, my USB card readers, and in my PCMCIA CF card socket adapters.

Note you should also search this forum using keys like "KARAS FAT12" and "KARAS COMPACT" or "KARS CF CARD". I have posted here many times on the subject and there are links there to places to get low cost FAT file system code from PRLLC.
