Yes, that's true.
If that's what Benny Abramovsky meant, then I misinterpreted the question. Can't give myself an "Answer is Wrong" vote, though...! ;-)

Anyhow, if the real question is, "How do I initialise the DMA controller," then the answer must be, read the data sheet!! - and it is impossible to answer any further without knowing which particular DMA-equipped 8051 he's talking about!
