FLASH

1.) Programs much faster than old style EPROM, hence FLASH.
2.) It is electrically erasable
3.) It's now a low voltage programming technology
4.) It's selectably erasable (sometimes)
5.) The cell size is smaller than EPROM, so the device density is higher.
