#80297 - USB Mass Storage Device |
I am currently design a system that uses a MMC flash memory card. I would like to access the flash memory via USB from a Windows 2000/XP Machine. However, I don't want the end user installing DLL's or Drivers on Windows. I want my device to appear as a virtual hardware or USB mass storage drive without the end user installing any software.
I am currently looking at three hardware solutions. I would like some opinion on which solution i should use. 1. ($12) Solution 8051-MCU (STuPSD32/34: 64KF, ) USB, UART 2. ($15) Solution Silab-MCU (C8051F133: 63KF,8KR) 2-UARTs TI-MCU (USB3410 USB-to-UART) 3. ($20) Solution Silab-MCU (C8051F133: 63KF,8KR) 2-UARTs Cypress (EZ-USB) If some knows of Application Note or Reference Design that use a USB solution similar to the one above please pass that information on. Other recomendation are welcome! |
