Do you think that I will need the MAX232 for the communication?
1) If the modem states RS-232 YES, if it states 'serial', probably no. 2) the MAX232 will not work satisfactorily at 3.8 or 3.3V, you will need a transciever rated at that voltage. Erik 3.8V is a 'strange' value - are you sure it is not 'max' rather than 'recommended'? |
