#81280 - RE: Division by 32bit constant Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Glad to be of service.
Radix conversion is a common problem that has received a good deal of attention. It is one of those things that is not exactly difficult, but which always leaves one with the feeling that there ought to be a better way to do it. I see from Peter Dannergger's link, that he was thinking along the same lines for doing a fast division by small value. The Programmer's Heaven has some interesting nuggets.
