#81433 - ON-OFF - Press and Hold for 2nd Function |
Hi
I was just reading the post below and it reminded me of a problem I have. I have an application where I have a single input off an interrupt that I want to perform 2 functions, The 1st function sends message 1 between 0 & 500mSecs The 2nd function sends message 2 @ < 1000mSecs Both of the functions work no problem, however the problem that I have is with function 1, how can I determine if the function is a first or second function, until the user removes their finger from the button (which is how I currently have it)? If they leave their finger on the button and the time exceeds 1000mSec, then no problem, I know for certain that this is the 2nd function. Having to remove your finger from the button before execution of the command for function 1 is a bit counter intuitive. Any thoughts? Its been driving me nuts for months Regards Marshall Brown |
