Advantages of using the internal timer/counter:
- high accuracy (= crystal accuracy) - wide measurement range - faster response (down to one input period) - no hardware required - no adjustment required disadvantage: - on frequencies above the maximum input value a prescaler was needed (e.g. 74F393 for up to 120MHz). Peter |
