8 bit @ 8KHz might be enough. But remember even at with this sound quality for one 6 second message you will need 64KB of storage space. Unpacked 8-bits stream at 8kHz requires 8000 bytes per second. For 6 seconds it takes 48000 bytes, i.e. less than 47kb. Regards, Oleg |
