#82708 - COM port pin as 5 or 9 v power supply. |
Hi all,
I gotta transmit PC RS-232 signals using an RF tansceiver. The RF part is of no concern for the time being. My hardware is a small PCB boord consisting a MAX-232 or DS-275 and the transceiver. Now the question is that is it possible to use one of the pins of say DB-9 as power supply of this small circuit, instead of using battery or adapter? 78L05 will be used of course, just in case. By the way in my circuit only TX and GND of the COM port will be used. Best. |
