#82761 - Calculating RMS Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Shivani,
Russell has alluded to two methods for calculating the RMS value of a waveform. A third, less accurate method, would be for you to compute RMS value based on an explicit calculation of the RMS integral using phase angle as the independent parameter. Since only 20 measurement points are available using a 1kHz sampling frequency for a 50 Hz carrier, that looks like a good solution to me. Cheers, Bruce |
