#82968 - RE: PCF8574 matrix keyboard
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Erik,

Geert,
In your description there is no debounce facility.

Erik

That's true, there's indeed no debounce facility. I only wanted to share the 'rought' ideas I'm playing with in this design, namely being able to measure the length a key was pressed.

Of course, and you're right, if in my example an interrupt comes in at an unreasonable time (that is, a time that is too short for a human being to release/re-press a button), I also have to handle this and tread it as a disturbance/debounce. It was not explained in my story. Sorry for that.

Just hoped to make clear that interrupts can be interesting, even if it is 'only' to handle a keyboard.

Kind Rgds,

-- Geert
