thanks for ur suggestion and useful link. u gave the link for rectifier, but my problem is for cycloconverter. but i can get some idea from that.

u told, using timer interrupt it is possible to yield variable time intervals. ok, but my question is whether the timer works for such small values of time interval i.e, in exp(-18).....for which the clock frequency must be high. so whether can I achieve it by some other means.
