sorry for the bad terminology.
I have only KEIL C development environment so i test the C program only in Keil Debugger. yes that's correct. the code works fine in debugger and also the actual 8052 hardware if all data types are same like int. double. but if i change the data types of the function and the data type from calling function, the program does not work on actual hardware but it works fine in debugger. Also if i use the long data type when declaring functions the program again does not work. i have selected Atmel 80C52 from Project->Select Device for Target. and my actual chip is AT89c52. i think that is all i need to do. ?
