I don't know that there is as good stuff for linux. I will try it. There are several 8051 assemblers that run under Linux but ASEM I think is the best. I made a little very simply paraller programer for 80C52 (used PCF 8574A). Mayby a will try make any software for its on Linux, now its working in DOS (my first known OS for PC Ha:) Ha:).
Although most new 8051 development boards are programmed via the serial port, there are still lots of 8051 boards that use the parallel port. One of my future projects will be a parallel port programmer. But sumilator will be great.:) This is being worked on. Ian |
