Dear Sir/Madam,

I have recently been challenged to build a "calculator" using mainly the 8051's micro-controller code, as well as various hardware devices.As a hobby and a firm interest, my colleuges and I usually take up these challenges.

I have picked out the relevant devices needed but am unsure as to weather they are correct. e.g. 7-segment displays, keypad(or switches),7447-display decoders, display latches and required code. i don't know if i have all the required devices or correct code, so if you could help me out i would be most grateful.The calculator been built has only the functions '+','-','x'and '/', to keep it simple and not too time consuming.
