hi,

Do you know, if 8253 would be programmed, by a simply circuit through parallel port of PC like 8252, or similar....too many programmers at my job...and too much money in those.
Sometimes, to use a micro, in only one project. Indeed, here I have used 4 COM ports and 2 LPT ones for various programmers and debug tools. As about programming from PC via LPT port then the question is which programmer do you use? As I know, PonyProg does not support AT89S8253, only AT89S98252. From other side, there is ISP programmer from Atmel, read here: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/produ...ol_id=2877 There you may find all necessary things - software, cable schematic, notes etc. Regards, Oleg |
