Imagine: American engineers giving advice to Iranian engineers. I'm waiting for that knock on my door. Perhaps the Powers That Be would see a resource such as this to be a Good Thing. All that nonsense about "winning hearts and minds" -- well, that's what we're doing here! Hopefully, our friends from the Middle East (indeed, everywhere!) who participate here realize that not all Americans want to bomb them back to the Stone Age, just as I realize that the overwhelming vast majority of people from that part of the world don't want to bomb us. I think that because of this post and my subscription to The Nation, I know I'm on a list, and it ain't Schindler's. -a |
