Do you see a compromise with this ?
Since i refuse to deal with Atmel, I can only tell you what to check. If a write to the prescaler register you discuss will not change the contents of the counter and there are no other differences, I would say not. The essential quality check for a watchdog is that it must be so that after it is started NOTHING can affect its timeout other then the two consequtive writes. Erik |
