#86080 - CTS & RTS signal in RS-232 |
Hi all...
I have some question about Clear To Send (CTS) and Request To Send (RTS) signals in RS-232. I want to communicate with modem (DCE) using Microcontroller as DTE. CTS* signal is asserted (logic 0) by DCE device to inform DTE device for accepting transmitted data from DCE device (modem). When DTE ready, it acknowledges by asserting (logic 0) RTS* signal. How long time logic 0 in RTS signal should be hold by DTE to receive only 1 character? Sincerely yours, Andi Taufan |
