Look to this web page for another color graphics LCD module with a built-in controller chip. The controller chip does the real time scanning of the display and has the onboard dsplay RAM of up to 360K bytes. Supports either 8 or 16-bit wide host microcontroller bus. On the web page look at the top unit shown. IE..128x160 pixel layout in 2" diagnonal size supporting 65K color depth. This should connect right up to an 8052...your challenge is to provide the source material to display.
