As near as I could get when I investigated this very question was to do screen display bit mapped captures. I tried printing to a file and then decoding the bitmaps image from the graphics printer formatted output but the resolution was way too low to try to make reasonable artwork data from it. In the end I gave up and steered away from the ExpressPCB "design in trap".
