#86882 - How would I handle the problem? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Charles - I thought I gave a few ideas in my post. Sure your flip/flop solution is conceptually valid - with a pushbutton as an input it will most likely fail. Again, components can be added to tackle this. We both know this. Newcomers to digital logic find out very quickly about switch bounce! Relays are not quite a silly idea - many of the circuits I deal with are relay simply because they are safety related - the failure modes of relays are well known and documented. An i.c on the other hand, let alone a microprocessor - then that gets a whole lot harder. The ABS system in my car has relays as a safety interlock. Should I have shown my solution as ladder logic? |
