i have generated a tone at 697hz and another on at 1209hz Err... adding a 697Hz tone to a 1209Hz tone does not produce a (697+1209)Hz tone! The point of DTMF is that you are mixing two pure sine frequencies to get a complex tone - hence DTMF = Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency |
