There's got to be something fundamentally wrong with your setup. 1/ Check the crystal frequency - if that's wrong not use going any further until that is fixed. If necessary, build a frequency counter using the 8051 to check this frequency. 2/ Double check your code to read the device. Re-read the datasheet. This is most likely your source of problem. 3/ Are you sure you're not mis-interpreting the data? It may be BCD and if you're interpreting it differently - this will give you weird results. It's very hard to remotely debug these problems. |
