Hello Piter.
Let me try to help, If I am wrong, someone please correct me. PWM - Pulse Width Modulation. To my understanding it the same as varying your Duty Cycle. Duty Cycle - the percentage of the period that your output is High. 50% duty cycle means that in one period, the time that your output is high = the time that your output is low. ie half power 80% -> o/p high for 80% of total period 100% -> o/p high for the entire period ie, max power output 0% -> o/p high for 0% of the period -> ie, 0 power output. I think you get the picture, basically you are varying the width of your output pulse. I hope this helps. sun |
