try writing a little program to write "123" to the LCD, you will gain
a) you can understand it b) the code is small enough that we can read it c) the problem(s) (if any) are in a small piece of code d) it is easy to fix Then and only then add "write from array", when that works, add measure voltage, when that works add display voltage.
