#87769 - GPRS packet details needed |
I thaught this will be is. But now I need help:
This is regarding GPRS experiment I am doing: I have 2 Orange connections - GPRS enabled. 1. Project - There are 2 Instrumnets. One will upload data on asp and other will download. Frequency of upload and download - once per 100 Sec. Application data - 200 bytes Connectivity GPRS. Asp page will reside on a webserver. 2. Modem - Wavecom GMS/GPRS Fargo Mestro 20 No. operating systems on instrumnets. Communication with modem on serial port with hardware flow control @9600Kbps. Modem do not have embaded stack. 3. Speed - Not critical - Actual data transfer within a second. 4. Current stage - I am able to connect my system to Orange server using AT commands. 5. Testing - Using Hyper terminal and our programs developed on microcontroller. 6. Rest of procedure for which help is needed : 1. I am not familier with TCP/IP packet details. 2. Finally there will not be any PC involved. Only Instruments at either end, through GPRS. 3. IP address, subnet mask and gateway information requesting packet details (if any) procedure to obtain one with packet structure. 4. Packet details for sending request to connect to data server needed. 5. Request packet to keep connection alive. 6. Disconnection. Other issues : 1. No security issues. 2. I am good in C, C51, Assambly and RS232 communication. 3. I have very genral concepts of server, TCP/Ip, Dynamic addres assignment etc., but never worked on them. 4, I am in microcontroller field for 15 years. 5. asp pages are ready. 6. I are able to send and receive data using SMS. Please remember, this is done through serial port. Thanks Vimal Amin |
