DS-51 is not a bondout either
Philips has a top-secret-trick-kick-into-CEIBO-mode for its chips. That is used by CEIBO to make debuggers without bondouts. The nice thing about this is that you can pop any Philips chip in and the ICE works. Atmel, however does not have a top-secret-trick-kick-into-CEIBO-mode as seen from the preponderance of EB-Atmel ICEs CEIBO makes. Thus an ICE based on non-bondout Philips chip will NEVER work if an Atmel chip is inserted. Erik |
