#8899 - RE: C Compiler Comparison results |
Hi Peter,
it is nice to see this realy fair comparison between the compilers. as you know, i am the one who builds the pre-release windows binaries that are available at the sdcc open knowlegde web site http://www.qsl.net/dl9sec/SDCC_OKR.html (some little advertisement :-) ) what i am missing is that you mention what version the compilers have that you have used. Keil V? and SDCC V? for SDCC as it is open source, it would be nice to know what building date it has use "sdcc --version" Yes SDCC seems to have probs with pointers, but within the last 2 weeks the developer team has done some big improvements and fixed some wierd bugs. the latest official release versions are a bit old and the current has a big amount of fixes. that is the reason why i place my builds at the OKR to make them public. the latest version i have placed at the SDCC-OKR is dates Jan.11th but i will have to place a newer one including the latest cygwin.dll it would be nice if you could send me all files for your "benchmark" as i could use them for future sdcc versions to test them. currently sdcc blows up the code a bit, but this is pre-release ! and new enhancements and features are included. see the version option with the next OKR release Regards. |
