To answer your first question I believe that the 400 has a machanism to insert extra cycles into the ram accesses,because one of the concerns which was first raised was where do you get sram which will run at that speed and doesn't cost a fortune.There are application notes on the subject on the dallas website I think.
How much ram is required for any task is entirely down to the code used.Nobody can tell you until you write the code. I don't think its poor support its a mtter of looking for the application notes. |
