#90430 - Hierarchical Menus with LCDs Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If you want to take the level of abstraction one layer up, and consider the hierachical layering of messages on an LCD and how you would approach it to allow for flexibility and especially specification changes then, (even though I guess I am blowing my own trumpet) please see my article: "Hierarchical Menus in Embedded Systems" in the November 2003 issue of Circuit Cellar. If you don't have access to the print version of the magazine, you can download either the article alone or the whole magazine here
http://www.circuitcellar.com/magazine/...rchive.asp There is a nominal cost, I am afraid. Although it is presented using the (shudder) Rabbit micro, it was originally developed on an 8051 and is written in C so there should be no problem in adapting it. |
