#90999 - no question is "silly"
Responding to: ???'s previous message
You can see in the main list, a member named Neeha Gupta asking question about how to begin 8051 assembly coding.. Despite bombarding with negative karma, how can we avoid such things in future?

We should, by no means, try to "avoid such things", beginners should feel warmly welcome.

However, just as a welcome guest can be asked to wipe his feet before entering, new "guests" are asked to read the rules, use meaningful headers etc.

The thing that drives me (and I am sure others) crazy is the poster that, when asked questions, just repeat "help me" instead of answering the questions.

I have seen non-beginners replying to questions with "has nothing to do with it" or "none of your business" so i do not see this as an issue of beginners.

Thus, I would like to see a "quarantine till answered" possibility. This, may be an opportunity for abuse, but Craig has stopped a few from certain functions because of abuse and thus, this should be no more trouble than the karma system.

Erik

PS: if such had been established all posts but the second would not be here.
