I think the original poster was suggesting that perhaps light could be used for point-to-point digital communication for computers. With more and more of the RF band being occupied and many bands requiring government licensing, a point to point communication system that somehow used light instead of radio waves could be implemented without licensing and, presumably, without interfering with each other.
I know nothing about the topic of wireless light-based communication, but it seems like a valid question. A bit off topic, but interesting nonetheless. Regards, Craig Steiner |
