#92520 - Peter Danneger´s programmer under XP |
Hello all,
long time ago, I built the programmer showed in the Mr. Danneger´s site (seems that the site www.specs.de/users/danni does not exist anymore and emails sent to him are going to the /dev/null). The programmer runs under a DOS window in W98, by means a .bat file and a program called "proflash" ... works very nice. Nowadays I´m changing from W98 to XP and proflash does not work properly. I think this is a problem due the use of the COM port, which is different from one to another windows. It´s very important to me have the programmer in the serial port, instead of the paralell, where I have another device plugged all the time. My windows skills (98 and XP) are restricted to click and drag :) ... so, has someone a workaround to this problem? is there any way to have a "real DOS" program, using serial COM, working under XP? Many thanks for any answer, Luiz |
