#92533 - Suggestion Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Janarthanan,
I am afraid I have no specific information about that particular printer model. However, you might just try experimenting. Things like Centronics, parallel and serial (UART) interfaces are very standardized. You will have no trouble looking them up. Also, control characters like Line Feed (LF), Carriage Return (CR) are all standard and will more than likely do just what they are supposed to do with your printer. Look at the following link to see a complete list of all ASCII codes. http://www.lookuptables.com If your's is an incredibly old (decades) printer, it is possible that it will require EBCIDIC coding (but I really doubt it). Finally, good job rewriting that subject heading. And if you want more help, give us some more information about your printer. For example, is it a dot matrix or laser (or daisy wheel for that matter)? About how old is it? Anything you can tell us might help. Good luck. Joe |
